Nursing management at the surgical center in a philantropic hospital, in front of the pandemic COVID-19

Objective: the objective is to describe the actions of nursing management in adapting a surgical center for the care of asymptomatic patients during the pandemic of the new coronavirus. Method: methodologically, the study is classified as an experience report. Results: the results demarcate the need for restructuring, reorganizing and reconfiguring the work process in the operating room unit. Conclusion: in this sense, the new Coronavirus evidenced a fragile hospital system, showed economically sensitive hospital institutions and demanded from health teams the dedication and a lot of commitment throughout the care context.
