Objective: To determine the epidemiological profile of syphilis in pregnant women in Brazil from 2017 to 2024, identifying factors that contribute to the prevalence of this infection in the studied population. Method: A descriptive, quantitative, and retrospective epidemiological study analyzing cases reported between 2017 and 2021 using data from the Notifiable Diseases Information System (Sinan). Results: A total of 263,474 cases were recorded, with the highest incidence in 2018 and a reduction of 47.5% by 2021. The infection predominantly affected pregnant women of mixed race, aged 20 to 39 years, with incomplete elementary education and in the latent stage of the disease. Conclusion: Although incidence decreased over the studied period, syphilis remains prevalent among pregnant women. It is imperative to intensify prenatal care and promote systematic screening, especially in the Northern Region, where incidence exceeds the established goals for disease eradication.
